Raymond Arroyo is a senior member of the Human Resources Executive Group at Aetna, one of the leading diversified health care benefits companies in the U.S. and around the world. He is Aetna’s Global Chief Diversity Officer and leads diversity-related strategies for the company, linking diversity to company goals to increase talent pipeline and drive business growth.
Prior to joining Aetna, Raymond worked at Altria, PricewaterhouseCoopers, HSBC and Domino Sugar. He is active in the community and serves as:
- A member of the Board of Regents of the University of Hartford
- An Officer of the Board of Trustees of The Wheeler Clinic
- The Chairman of the Corporate and Philanthropic Council of the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU)
- A member of the Board of Governance of HACU
- A member of the Executive Editorial Board of The Business Journal of Hispanic Research
Raymond also served on the Corporate Advisory Board of ALPFA for 9 years, and as President of PRIMER for 5 years.
Raymond writes about diversity as a core business strategy, authentic networking, and building strong relationships that last a lifetime. His writings have been featured on many publications, including DiversityInc, SHRM, MOLI, and Babbalu.com.
Raymond has an M.S. degree from Polytechnic University and a B.A. degree from NYU. He completed the Harvard Business School Corporate Governance: Leadership in the Boardroom program.
In 2010 Raymond was selected by NSHMBA for the Corporate Executive Excellence Brillante award and by PricewaterhouseCoopers as one of its exemplary alumnus and featured on its KeyWord magazine.
