David Rodriguez

With over twenty years in banking, David Rodriguez currently heads up the mortgage origination unit at Ponce De Leon Federal Bank - a local bank in the Bronx, NY. His team consists of three underwriters, five processors, and two administrative staff. David and his team manage all aspects of a high volume deal pipeline to ensure efficient workflow from initial receipt of a deal package to approval by Loan Committee and/or the Board of Directors. David reports directly to the bank’s President concerning credit and compliance issues. He is also a member of the Bank’s Loan Committee and is responsible for presenting new deals to the Board of Directors.

Prior to joining Ponce De Leon in April of 2005, David was a Relationship Manager at Bank of America in New York City for eight years. At BOFA, David was responsible for building and retaining business in a specialty market segment (primarily responsible for increasing loan volume, generating fee income, and cross-selling products). He managed all aspects of client financial relationships for a loan portfolio of $250 million, consisting primarily of apparel and textile clients. Responsibilities included the design, development, and management of client-specific finance strategies, including revolving lines of credit, trade finance, cash management, derivative products and other business solutions.

David is a Board Member of the Bronx Initiative Corporation, an organization whose purpose is to promote economic development in low and moderate income communities of the Bronx County of New York City.
