Rey Polanco is currently a Consultant for State Farm Insurance Companies, focusing on a corporate multicultural recruiting project for the New York City metropolitan area.
Rey joined State Farm in 1996 as an auto claims representative in NYC. In 2001 he was appointed a "new market" agent in the Washington Heights neighborhood of Manhattan. Prior to that, Rey worked as a Property Manager for a real estate management company.
During his time as an insurance agent, Rey has received and qualified for many sales awards such as:#61 rank in auto insurance sales and #13 rank in life insurance sales in the country. Rey was also a bank sales leader and listed among top multiple-line producers qualifying him for several achievements such as"chairman's circle", "master agent guild", and "ambassadors for life" lists for his years as an agent.
Rey was also selected in 2006 to be part of a State Farm Insurance national television commercial in both Spanish and English languages.
Rey was appointed as a consultant on January of 2007 to build an ongoing a "pool of talent" for State Farm .
His efforts also include creating awareness of agency as a career amongst the Hispanic professional environment.
Rey holds his bachelor of science management and marketing from Binghamton University and is currently pursuing is LUTCF designation.
