Jesus M. Maldonado Reyes

Jesus M Maldonado Reyes joins BlackRock to focus on the Campus Diversity recruiting strategy reporting directly into the global head of Recruiting. BlackRock® a Fortune 500 company which is a premier provider of global investment management, risk management and advisory services to institutional and retail clients around the world.

Prior to BlackRock he was part of the Diversity recruiting team at Goldman Sachs, Jesus developed and engineered a business strategy specifically designed to attract high achieving historically underrepresented students and laterals. His prior experiences include positions as a senior diversity recruiter at FleetBoston Financial and as a senior strategy consultant for Ihispano.com. Prior to that he was a senior consultant started at Accenture, engaged in various projects with Fortune 100 financial services companies.
 
Jesus has served leadership roles as a co-founder of PRIMER, national board member of the National Society of Hispanic MBAs (NSHMBA), Women’s Ventue Fund Loan Committee. He has been featured on the leading #1 morning show on national Hispanic television, “Despierta America”, on the Univision network and on “Hoy en el Mundo” on the Telemundo-NBC network as a NSHMBA Scholarship spokesperson. In 2006, he implemented the first Annual National officer training conference “Encuentro” at the MIT Sloan School of Management, which brought 160 Leaders from the 30 NSHMBA chapters and 50 Top Hispanic-pre MBA students. Maldonado was also key in raising $90,000.00 in corporate sponsorships for the event. 
 
Jesus has been recognized by the City Council of New York for his contributions and leadership in the community. He is a recipient of the New York ASPIRA Corporate Circle of Achievers award and the “Good Fellow award” given by the Institute of Chemical Engineers of Puerto Rico. Recently in 2007 he received the NSHMBA National Brillante Award for Membership Service.
 
Jesus currently serves on the Board of Directors of ASPIRA of New York (a not for profit service agency fostering the advancement of Latino youth) and the NSHMBA New Jersey Chapter Board.
 
He received his BS and MS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez.
