Jorge Irizarry

Jorge Irizarry is the President of the Government Development Bank of Puerto Rico where he heads the structuring and implementation of all bank and capital markets financing as fiscal agent to the government of Puerto Rico.

He has over 30 years experience at first tier commercial banking, investment banking and management consulting firms, including PaineWebber, Chase and Booz-Allen. During that time he has been instrumental in creating unique financial structures to meet issuer needs and market demand in debt, equity, and M&A transactions. He is also experienced in the development and implementation of improved organizational and operating strategy for leading financial institutions and industrial companies.

Jorge has managed the placement of over 40 investment banking transactions with a total value exceeding $9B including municipal and corporate debt, equity and M&A for issuers in Puerto Rico, Mexico, Argentina, Colombia and Venezuela with PaineWebber and Sandoval Associates.

Jorge has an MBA from Harvard Business School with emphasis in Finance and Marketing and a BS from New York University with major in Finance.

He serves on the Boards of Directors of Future Possibilities and CASA Bergen County, both not-for-profit organizations serving children in the NY/NJ area. He is also a Member of the Financial Advisory Committee for El Museo del Barrio.
