Hector Garcia is a Vice President with Citigroup in a Human Resources Generalist role. He manages and develops relationships within his client base that consist of: Corporate Legal, Government Relations (lobbyist department) and Investigations & Security for North and Latin America. Hector plays a key role in Employee Relations, Succession Planning and Compensation for these corporate functions. He also has a leadership role in the employee survey to drive actions and change within client groups.
Hector serves in the Corporate Center HR Generalist (CCHRG) Steering Committee. The CCHRG Steering Committee establishes best practices and focuses on the enhancement HR Generalist professional development. In 2006, Hector was selected to spearhead the roll-out and implementation of a new Talent & Performance Management system impacting 800+ exempt employees. The rollout was a crucial success that enabled Senior Managers to identify & manage talent across functions & businesses.
Prior to joining Citi; Hector worked at Pitney Bowes as a Human Resources Manager where he held several positions in New York City and Stamford, CT. Hector played a key role in New York and managed several outsourcing and employee integration projects that impacted over 500 employees through his career with Pitney Bowes. Hector was designated as the National Human Resources Generalist for the IBM account, supporting 500 employees in 35 locations throughout the Unites States. Hector received the New York Region Human Resources Achievement Award in 2001 and 2004.
Hector has over twelve years of experience in Human Resources Management that includes Banking-Financial Services, Manufacturing and Services industries. He received a BS in Human Resources Management from Park University and an Associate Degree in Healthcare Management from the US Air Force Community College.
While active in the US Air Force, Hector was awarded the Achievement Medal and selected as Airman of the Quarter in 1993. Hector was honorably discharge in 1995.
